Study Abroad
Semester Based Exchange
This program is designed for students who wish to study at a participating foreign host institution with tuition waiver for minimum one semester to maximum one year. Tuition fee will be waived but living and other expenses should be paid by students. Credits earned at the host institution are transferable. UNIST expects that students will gain varied cultural experiences, greater language proficiency and advanced knowledge in their major from the program.

UNIST enrolled students whose major is decided and who begin study abroad in their 3rd to 7th semester is eligible to apply(파견학기 기준으로 3학기 이상 7학기 이하 재학생)
Students on academic leave is eligible to apply (휴학생 지원가능)
Students without any record of disciplinary actions or academic probation according to university regulation are eligible to apply (징계 및 학사경고를 받은 사실이 없는 학생 지원가능)
GPA
Minimum 3.1 cumulative GPA
Took 12 credit hours, and 2.7 GPA in the previous semester
Language Requirement
Minimum language requirement can be subject to change under Partner university’s circumstances
If there were no language requirement, TOEFL iBT 80 or other equivalent English test score should be fulfilled.
English requirement can be different according to each institution
Test should be administered within 2 years of the starting date is considered valid
Application process
1. Applicant: Applicants submit required documents to the affiliated school office
2. School Office: Select final candidates and recommend them to CIA
3. CIA: Oral Interview from International Affairs Committee and final decision of successful candidates

Summer Session
The Summer Session program is designed for UNIST students who wish to make use of the long summer term and improve their English skills, travel abroad and earn academic credits towards their major at a foreign institution. Many schools overseas offer specialized courses during this time of year to undergraduates attending host institutions. Take this chance to experience attending a course with undergraduates from different parts of the world.

Completion of 1 semester ~ 7 semesters by dispatched semester
(파견학기 기준으로 1학기 이상 7학기 이하 재학생)* The last semester students can apply is 7 semester
* Students on academic leave is eligible to apply, but they should return to school before program start
GPA
A student who has earned more than 12 credits in the previous semester, and GPA(previous semester) should be over at least 2.7
SAF
SAF is a program that gives the opportunity to study during 1 or 2 semesters at the SAF member’s universities located at USA, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand.
